Yes, I must agree - we might need some more information in order to properly answer the question. Why did he dump you? Did you guys break-up on good terms? How long had you guys been together? How long was the break? How do you feel about him? How does he feel about you? Are there incetives for him to be back with you (is it financially better that he be with you than not...)? Apart from that, what are his reasons for coming back to you?
As for me, if he broe up wih you out of malice, or because the relationship was seriously not working then I would not have taken him back. It's just a way that I safeguard myself and it keeps me progressing. If there were other reasons for the break then I would have to consider them first before making my decision...

If you feel you were dumped for reasons beyond your comprehension, or without any logical explanation, taking him back would warrant loads of answers on his part. Even though you might not even ask those questions, it is him who will have to answer his conscience. Any which way, move on. Find someone who at least has the gumption to be frank enough in life.

Only you can decide if he is trustworthy enough for you to trust him again. If it were me, I would not go back with the prospect of being dumped cold again. But that is just me. I find that there are plenty of nice men around, and it is not neccessary to bother with someone cruel enough to dump me cold. Dump me once, shame on you. (There is no dump me twice!)

Listen up, you either want him back or you don't, you have to make up your own mind, and only you can decide if you made the right move, no one else can resolve this except you and him.

Ouch.
It depends-- if you have been dating like a few months+, then you should. If it's been a few weeks, then no.
But details are needed to really help you. It's a case-to-case scenario. There's no one answer. One size doesn't fit all...
