I do not know where you can find articles but,

1) You could talk about the differences in Thailand. The three southern provinces are Muslim whereas the rest of Thailand is Theravada Buddhist. There has been a long fight by 3 different "Muslim Seperationist groups" in the south for many years with a lot of fighting taking place. JUST do a web search "Muslims Southern Thailand" and you will see a number of articles.

2) You can talk about the separationist movement in several of the southern island of the Philippines where there are Muslims compared with the rest of the country which is primarily Catholic. Again, just do a search "Muslims Southern Philippines" and there are a number of articles to read.

3) You can discuss the "Khmer Cham" in Cambodia. They are the Muslims in Cambodia and comprise about 8% of the population and are found between 10 and 50 kilometers north of Phnom Penh, the capital and also on the east side of the Mekong river for some distance N.E. of Phnom Penh. The Muslims of Saudhi Arabia are funding a lot of the building projects in Cambodia for the Chams and at the same time attempting to change the form of Islam they practise in Cambodia. Again, a search under "Cambodian Chams" will get you a lot of articles to read.
