Depends if you have a coat on or not!!!! If I have a coat with hood on I walk - if not I run!!!!!!!! But then again you're more likely to fall over if you run - so I guess you have the potential of getting much wetter than you anticipated!!

This was one of the questions in Notes And Queries from The Guardian's column. Unfortunately I only have volume 2, I have lost volume 1, and I think the question was answered comprehensively there. The column started in 1989 but I am sure you can google it to find the website that can answer your question.
PS: I thought one of the most priceless questions was 'How can I weigh my head?' It's actually a lot more tricky to do than I thought.

if the winds blowing to b walk as fast as the wind the rain is only falling vertically.
If the wind is going the other way b to a you should run because the rain is blowing in your face anyway.

There are a large number of variables that need to be considered. See the first link.

At the second link is a calculator which will allow you to predict just which approach is best, running or walking, in any given set of circumstances.

Next time it rains get into a car, drive 5mph,watch the windshield, note how fast your wipers have to wipe. Now go 50mph, if allowed, see if your wiper speed needs to increase. I bet so.

I saw Myth Busters when they tested this. They didn't see any difference when running or walking.
