B + 10 = S
S + 1 = 2(B+1)
To solve, substitute B + 10 for S in the second equation:

Let x = Suzy's age now
Let y = Billy's age now
x = y + 10
(x+1) = 2(y+1)
Substitute y+10 for x in the second equation:
y+10+1 = 2y+2
y+11 = 2y+2
9 = y
Suzy is 19, and Billy is 9

suzy = x + 10

x + 11 = 2x + 2
11 = x + 2
9 = x
i think this is right if, suzy will be twice as old as billy will be next year, so I added a year to each of them

Suzy would be 19 and Billy would be 9...because in the second part it says next year she would be twice as old as Billy...she would be 20 and he would be 10, 10x2=20
