Is America Rome Just A Couple Thousand Years Later And Will It Fall The Same?

I was discussing this with my proffesor and he thought that america is a lot like Rome.
What are your thoughts?

It could. Rome allowed Christianity into its government and it hastened its collapse.

There are many similarities, and so I think it is very possible. We are heading in a direction that most are unaware of, and most will hate it if we get to that place. It can still be turned around, but we are running out of time. The elite are the ones taking us to that place, and the vision they are creating for us, is an unspeakable nightmare. They call it a new world order. I personally do not want to live in the world they envision, and I will do whatever I can to increase awareness. There is a documentary called Endgame, and I think everyone should watch it. *sm*

I agree with your professor. There are alot of similarities between the two.

Declining moral values, lack of political civility at home, an over-confident and over-extended military in foreign lands and fiscal irresponsibility by the central government. All contributed to the fall of Rome.

well... no government has lasted forever... so odds are we will fall at some point...

I mean every historical "superpower" shares many similarities often... but the U.S. and Rome certainly do also share many...

the U.S.'s power is more economical than military... relatively... even though both clearly had the best militaries of the time...

Yes, there are many similarities. Just look at the decadence of American life, which brought the Roman Empire down. It is inevitable.
