dictating who can run and who can't run for office is this country...when are americans gonna speak up about this...

and yes i know his running is a comedy bit but he paid his fees and rightfully should be on the ballot

he paid his fees to run as what he wanted they sorry are keeping him off as running as what he choses to run as which is wrong noone should be kept off a ballot for any reason..

It amazes me that people take the stance you have taken. He can run for office. He can't run for office as a democrat candidate. There is a HUGE difference.

For one, he is not a exclusive member of the party as he intends to file as a republican as well.

It is sad that so many people do not understand the purpose of the primary elections. The primary election is how a political party chooses the candidate they wish to represent them in the general election. As such the part has the right to chose which candidates will appear on THEIR primary ballot.

Steve (and anyone else that wants to run) can run as an independent candidate.

Snoopy and Pat Paulsen ran for president. And Steven Colbert should too. He could always bribe those officials with Doritos and I think he should.
