Back in the day, we had a choice...biology, physics, or chemistry. then we also had advanced placement classes of each of those for the 9th grade.
But that was over 20 years ago.

Biology is a standard 10th grade course, usually, however, Earth Science is a normal 9th grade course.

Generally it depends what state you are in. I grew up in NY and it was 10th grade for us. Earth Science was 9th. Bio shouldn't be to bad though, i am actually in school right now to become a bio teacher so feel free to shoot me an e-mail if you need help.

No, Biology is a 10th grade class. If you weren't in it you would have to be in Exploritory Physical Science. Or possibly even Earth Science.

Look on your states department of education website and look for the 'standards' for 9th grade. This will have a list of what you need to graduate.
Schools have a list in their 'handbook' of what you should take, but state law supercedes school law.

In my school freshman science is called integrated science or earth science, most schools don't get into bio until 10th grade. you are ahead. woo
