Evolution can be summed up in terms of a progression that puts an exact date on the missing link:
6,000,000,000
.. 600,000 000
.... 60,000,000
..... 6,000 000 -- date of missing link
........ 600,000
......... 60,000
........... 6,000 -- Modern man (Adam and Eve)
.............. 600
............... 60 -- 666
................. 6
................. 0 - end date in prophecy
All dates are based on occurrence as per significance. This is to say that man is not an ape. To the progression can be added the numbers 600, 60 and 6. A 0-date has been reached.
Signs of the End Times:
"Flood" = flood of chores. "Scorched with great heat" = career burnout. Chariots shall rage in the streets = rush hour. Hippies = people of the prince. Hippie philosophy = beat the system. A prince is as one who does no work.
Q. I have a busy, successful life, hobbies, family, etc. Why do I feel like something is missing? - A. Inertial mass = "rock"; gravitational mass = "stone". In general relativity, the two are indistinguishable. "Rock" = motion; "stone" = rest. Pushing on a rock controls where it goes. "Stone" = not conduct oriented.
Gospel of Thomas - 50 Jesus said, If they ask you, What is the evidence of your Father in you? say to them, It is motion and rest." - pbs.org/
Stephen Hawking - January '99 - "I shall adopt the no boundary proposal, and shall argue that the Anthropic Principle is essential, if one is to pick out a solution to represent our universe, from the whole zoo of solutions allowed by M theory."
Anthropic - * relating to mankind or the period of mankind's existence.
Christ brought meaning into the world. As of 1984, two meanings = doublespeak. Second meaning = Second Coming. Science knows nothing about human nature except in terms of conditioning. The Bible speaks of conditioning in terms of the "beast 666". Matt. 24:22 -"except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved". Progression = a brief history of time.

It sounds like a lot of work for someone who supposedly on: day one created day and night; day two made the firmament and divided the waters; day three brought forth dry land, trees, herbs, grass, etc; day four made two great lights and the stars; day five made water animals and flying animals; day six made land animals and humans; and on day seven he rested (or so it has been said). Granted the length of the days aren't specified but why go through so much work for some people to perceive that the universe started with the 'Big Bang' and has expanded since then and others to believe the Bible to be true and that the universe was created on 6000 years ago (also known as the 'Young Earth Theory').
If your hypothesis were to hold true, it would seem that 'God' wanted to create strife between people, because each camp bickers about the age of the universe (and let's heap evolution in with it because the two go hand and hand) with the same ferocity as the abortion/ anti-abortion and gun/ gun-control camps.

Depends on which God. If is a Hindu God then look up the definition of a Brahmin day. That makes the earth MUCH older than 4.6 billion years.
If you are talking about the Judeo=Christian God, why would you worry about what bronze age desert tribesman scribbled down in their goatskin tents? They certainly didn't have the knowldge we possess through sciences such as geology, astronmy, cosmology, etc. All of these easily disprove a 6000 (or 4004) year old earth.
In fact, if Paul didn't have an epileptic fit on the road to Damscus, we wouldn't have a Catholic Church or the 1200 years of the dark ages.

I've always mentioned this idea. I'm surprised more people don't get it. It's entirely possible God created a universe that appears 13 billion years old only 6000 years ago.
However it's not a terribly interesting topic to discuss. By definition, God can do anything. It really prevents logical discussions about what is possible. Assuming God did the job right, then there's really no way to tell the difference between a universe that is actually 13 billion years old, and one that is only 6000 and made to appear that old.
Is it possible? Yes... Is it possible God created the big bang? yes... They are all interesting questions for which the answers cannot really be proven.

Yes, definitely. An omnipotent God could have made the universe 2 minutes ago but given us memories and a strong impression that we have been around for years. However the burden of proof lies with creationists. There is *a lot* of evidence that suggests the universe is 14 billion years old and very little to suggest it is 6k. Similarly there is also no evidence that the universe is 2 minutes old. Even if some book said it was 2 minutes old, that wouldn't count as proof that it is. Unless you were biased of course.
I think Christianity is a great system and helps people a lot, I also think Jesus is pretty cool but I just have to laugh when they try to dispute established science. It gives religion a bad name.

Definitely!!! The obvious answer is yes...since God could..and still can...do anything. Did he?..is the question we hope to find out when we die. The idea of God and his creation is based on faith...which doesn't require a "natural" explanation; Hence the science of how earth was created cannot generally be applied to any explanation of how God created earth. Any similarities in the two versions are simply coincidence

well if god is a god then sure.
but question is, why in the world would god create a universe that appeared billions of years old 6000 years ago?
does he not want followers..?
the bible was written by humans, in a different age and a different society, and whether you're christian or not, it is impossible to take it literally.

So god is a liar now? And you prefer to believe everyone has been worshiping a liar and a fraud all this time? Doesn´t seem such an entity would be worthy of anyones worship. Or maybe just maybe the universe is actually 13.6 billion years old...

Well no, cause you see there are more than one God. Other gods say differently. Scientific measurements are not effected by your God or Islams God or Thor or Buddha. A gram is just that, a gram. A second is just that, a second. The sunrises in the east, sets in the west.
God created nothing. There is no God.

well if you believe in God then yes its possible. the fact that the earth is 6000 years old however makes no sense. how do you account for dinosaurs or for human fossils that go back hundreds of thousands of years. all of this has been done using carbon dating, very reliable. and it doesnt make sense that it can just be reliable for anything we know of and when something gets older carbon dating just ceases to work. so basically it technically is possible if you forget all of the scientific laws...
