I am completely against gays, it is not natural, and it is distasteful. However, I recently found out that one of my friends is pro-gay, and I don't see how some one can truly be a Christian and be perfectly fine with homosexuality. Please give your opinion, however if you are going to be a rude Christian basher, take your crap somewhere else.

heyyy no i understand you, but i absolutely dont think u can realy be christian and be pro-gay, we know that gayness is wrong and we cannot support it for anything or anyone. The Bible consistently tells us that homosexual activity is a sin (Genesis 19:1-13; Leviticus 18:22; Romans 1:26-27; 1 Corinthians 6:9). Romans 1:26-27 teaches specifically that homosexuality is a result of denying and disobeying God. When a person continues in sin and disbelief, the Bible tells us that God “gives them over” to even more wicked and depraved sin in order to show them the futility and hopelessness of life apart from God. 1 Corinthians 6:9 proclaims that homosexual “offenders” will not inherit the kingdom of God.
God does not create a person with homosexual desires. The Bible tells us that a person becomes a homosexual because of sin (Romans 1:24-27), and ultimately because of their own choice. A person may be born with a greater susceptibility to homosexuality, just as people are born with a tendency to violence and other sins. That does not excuse the person choosing to sin by giving into their sinful desires. If a person is born with a greater susceptibility to anger / rage, does that make it right for then to give into those desires? Of course not! The same is true for homosexuality.

I am a christian and I attend church and pray. I would like to believe that we are all created equal but apparently that is not the case. I am married and have a beautiful daughter but I have nothing against the homosexual way of life. You and your boyfriend making out in a bar is just as disgusting to me as two lesbians or gays. I think that you just need to take a step back, take a deep breath, lower your defenses and open your eyes. This is 2007 and you need to give people a chance. I am currently taking a class on diversity and my last tidbit is................How boring would the world be if we were all the same???? Open up your eyes and your heart and especially your MIND!!!!

If you're pro-gay and claim to be a Christian..it's not that you're not truly a Christian..it's just that you have to really check yourself and what you believe. A true Christian needs to understand that one needs to hate the sin and not the sinner..
According to the Bible..homosexuality is not right..there is no way a Christian can read the Bible..and think it is.

I am a Christian. I am not pro-gay; I am pro-human being. If a person is gay, that is between them and their god, whether that god is my God or not. It is not my job to judge people; only God can do that. It is my job as a Christian, trying to follow the teachings of my Savior, to have compassion for all and try to find love in my heart for everyone. Sometimes that is very hard to do, and often I don't succeed. But everyone is worth as much as I, in the eyes of God, and I can not be against anyone and still be for Christ.

How is being pro-gay against being Christian? As far as I know, we are all equal in God's eyes. Why else are we who we are. If there weren't suppose to be gay people, then why are they here? I can be a Christian ans pro-gay. It doesn't matter if they are gay, they are people. It's just who they are. There is no real problem to it. It's not affecting my life in any way. They live a life like everyone else. It is natural, it's not like the chose to be gay, or asked for it. God created everyone in his eyes. He created us out of what he sees beautiful.

I'm a Christian, have two uncles who are pastors, and a mother who taught a bible study for twelve years, and I'm "pro-gay." Being a figure skater, I've met a lot of cool gay guys, and I was just fine with them. They're people just like you and me, and they're very nice.
Remember, judgment is what God does, not what we do. We all sin, so how can you in the right mind be pro ANYTHING human, and not be pro-gay because it's "sinful." That'd make you a hypocrite. We don't have the right to tell gay people they're going to Hell, or that they're sinners. 'Let he without sin cast the first stone.'
Also, the Holy Bible says that homosexuals will have a greater reward in Heaven if they resist their temptation.
Gays are people just like you and me, and they're sinners, just like you and me. That's how I can be pro-gray.

I don't believe that one could be pro-gay and be a true Christian at the same time. The Bible is against homosexuality.

Can you be a true Christian and support the rich having greater rights than the poor?
Can you be a true Christian and support capital punishment?
Can you be a true Christian and think money is more important than love?
Can you be a true Christian and not share?
Can you be a true Christian and support the fables of the old testament?
Can you be a true Christian and not be bothered by the greedy and often kinky lifestyles of tv preachers?
I suggest it's hard to be a true Christian and support most of the things supposedly true Christians support....

If you follow the Bible, you can't be pro-gay. But, if you're one of those "spiritual" Christians that doesn't really try to follow God's law and simply tries to "be good. Because God forgives all", then I suppose you can be a "Christian" and be pro-gay. But it's not a true Christian=one who follows Christ.
HOWEVER, hating is wrong. Hate the sin, love the sinner. Gay is no different than sex before marriage or a lie. A sin is a sin. Every person has their vice but each is equally wrong.

Well, no, not exactly. In the Bible God says it's wrong to like the same gender. It's not really forward to Christianity. Do the right thing. Talk your friend out of the situation. If it continues ask a counselor for help.
