Which is better for money,I have a Nvidia 8600GT.

Would it be better getting a 2nd 8600GT in an SLI config.

Or Buying a Nvidia 8800GT 320MB ?

PS: Please remember that the 8800 is £130, and another 8600 is only £75

8600GT has only 32 stream processors and it utilizes 128bit memory interface. Running 8600GT in SLI mode will never appoach 8800GT's performance. 8800GT has 112 stream processors, very fast shader clock and utilizes a 256bit interface.

The 8600GT is pretty weak card. I can't say that 2 in SLI will be any good. I would get the 8800GT in a few weeks after the price settles. That way if you want more power later on, you can get another 8800GT and you'll be that much better off in the long run. Also, the new 8800GT comes with 512 MB. You may be thinking of the 8800GTS 320. Do not get this card. The new 8800GT is cheaper and runs circles around it.

The 8800GT is a great card and is only outclassed by the 8800gtx (even beats the ATI X2900XT). If your motherboard supports SLI and you can't sell the 8600GT then get a second 8600GT otherwise get the 8800GT

A single card would use less power and the 8800GT is pretty awesome.
