i personally think Jamie Moyer is better than Curt. Jamie has some stuff left. I mean Curt for some reason is really good in the post season, but during the regular season hes really not that great or what i should say is that he is not what he used to be. i think we need to go after Santana. plus do we really want all that ego baggage that would come with Schilling? but the only thing is that the mets and the braves are also on that 12 city list. and did you see how Jamie peformed during the last game that the Phillies were in aganist the rockies?

Citizen's Bank Park will be split 50/50 if Schilling returns. The younger fans will probably think it's really great to have him on the roster. However the older fans will remember his infamous statement, "I'll never leave Philadelphia. I want to retire a Phillie". Ten days later he was a D-Back and never looked back.

Phillie fans have long memories and rightfully so. Schilling is just about out of gas but he thinks he's still worth $13M a year. Well, he's not worth anything near that much.

I'd rather see the Phillies spend some of that money that they never seem to spend, and go get A-Rod. Yes, A-Rod. Citizen's Bank Park is the perfect place for him. He could hit 60 to 70 home runs a year. The Phillies lineup produced the second most runs in all of baseball last year. (Yankees were number one in runs scored).

The Phillies will win the pennant next season anyway but with A-Rod in the lineup they can win it all. One thing is for sure, the Phillies don't need Schilling and his ego.

Schilling criticized the Phillies on his last year when he said they "Weren't doing enough to win". He also wanted out of there. The fans in Philly don't forget those things. I can't stand Schilling, but he did make a good point in saying that they didn't care about putting a good team together. I don't think the fans would want him back, since he criticized their organization. I am not a Phillies fan though, nor do I live in Philly, but he basically gave the Phillies fans the finger with those comments. It might be that what he said could be a contributing factor that his legacy in Philly is tarnished, and he will never have his #38 retired by the club. I will be shocked if it happens and the fans accept him and cheered him like what he said about the Phillies, never happened.

Not a Phillies fan but, I am going to answer your question anyway. :) I like Curt Schilling. I know he does have an ego but, he is also a very generous caring man. As a pitcher, he still has a lot to offer as far as knowledge and experience that he can share with younger teammates. I hope he stays in Boston but, it may be any team on his list depending on what deal he can get. He does not go through an agent but makes the decisions with his wife and children. If its not Boston, you should be hopeful that it is Philly!

Jamie is for sure a better leader of the Phillies, but i think adding Curt and a reliever would be perfect for the Phils......we just need to focus on building our pitching staff

Well, I would love to see Curt back in a Phillie uniform regardless of any baggage he carries with him, but I don't want to see him as a starter. I think he would do great, in a very poor Phillies bullpen, the problem is however, I doubt he will want to do that, and who wants to pay 13mill for a reliever? As much as I would love to see him in a Phillies uniform one more time, I think his time in Phila has come and gone.

But seriously, couldn't you imagine Hamels starting, Schill relieving and Myers closing... thats 3 number 1 starters in one game...amazing! =P

Ego baggage, exactly. I got blasted for saying the guy has issues but whatever...he clearly does. His head is the size of a hot air balloon. He's not that good anymore anyway. The Phillies would be wise to spend their money elsewhere. They have a nice nucleus and good team chemistry that Schilling would only disrupt. He's the type of guy who walks into a room and thinks he owns it. His parents really must have babied him bigtime because he sure believes he is God's gift to mankind. A huge NO to bringing him back.

I would love to see him come back. He is still a very effective pitcher, and one of my favorite players of all time. If the Phils get back to the playoffs, they might actually win a game if Schil' is in the rotation. I think he does want to come back now that Ed Wade is gone.

Don't hold your breath on Santana. I'm sure he will go to New York or Boston.

Curt is a old man. 'Nuff said. Curt on the team will give the Phillies a 2 game boost.
