I could see if they discretely wrote to you and cited the violation and gave you a chance to respond before they made a decision. At least you could have felt better to know why. Honestly, I don't think your picture is in good taste on this site because there are young boys. This should be a photo you send one on one to someone. They could have mentioned that, also. But, I don't understand how they could have violated you for being friendly when they don't violate people that use terrible vulgarity! That's what I would like to see in their 'violations' - violate the dirty mouths not those that are friendly, like you. Obviously, you didn't know if it was daytime or nighttime for the received as this goes all over the world. A lot of people are making comments about violations they don't think are fair. I received one once and just let it go. If it is because it wasn't a question, jokes are not questions, either. You mean to tell me that if someone says something like how do you like this joke that makes it ok? Picky, huh! Well, I guess somebody has to make a paycheck - like the cops making a quota. LOL Don't quit. They don't realize how important Q&A is too us and how we get our feelings hurt for no good reason. Stick around! And make sure you use questions marks so that your comment can be considered a question. LOL (Wonder if I'll get a violation for this!)

The violation set up is a terribly imperfect system that allows closed-minded, intolerant, and pushy people to become internet bullies. True, it serves a purpose of user-moderated filtering for inappropriate content. However it can and is often abused by the weak.
Consider this. It is a sense of power for people who have none in real life. The same people whose fingers always hover over the report button are the people who are stepped on and kicked around in the real world because they are weak pathetic losers who cannot fit in to any group and gain any kind of real respect in real life.

At level 4, you should already know the answer to your question. The fact that you asked a generic question which has nothing to do with this "Entertainment..." forum, is a gosh-darned good reason for you getting a notice of violation!
What Yahoo needs to do is to police the questions - - alleged or otherwise - - more closely, or get rid of the violators! ;)

It's a statement. Not a question. Been there. If you asked "Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, how is everyone today ?"
No violation.

Looking at it from their skewed view, that's not a question for one thing, second it is the beginning of getting location information and can be considered chatting.
Don't yell at me, that Yamster has violated me so many times I'm starting to enjoy it. Is that wrong?

This shouldn't have been a violation. Someone was just in a very bad mood when they read the question. I think you should get your points back. Good morning, my fav.

it's not a violation, it's just people being stupid and reporting you for nothing...
one time i asked, "How much is an H6 printout from the DMV in Southern California??" and I got a violation from it... And when I argued it, they never did give me my points back!!!
sucks... just make your Q's and A's private... or else whoever is reporting you will just keep on reporting you...
