Some people still say that there is no Caste discrimination in india .
But this is the real situation in india.
Can the Central Government or the State Governments of India refuse this !

Never heard of it. Let me repeat it back so that I am sure I understand this 100%. There are two different caste groups. The daughter belongs to one and the husband to another. The daughter became pregnant and was invited by her father to his home for bangles day. Then the father and the pregnant womans brother beat her to death. Is this a common practice in India?

The government and the educational systems and the business communities must oppose caste-oriented crimes and hatreds.
Many reformers in hinduism reject the caste system as inhuman, unspiritual and divisive.
Christianity has done great good to Kerala and Christians from Kerala have held up hospital care throughout much of India

Its a horrifying story.. Caste System in India is a curse to the society. I thought education in India will change the mental attitude of the people in modern times but the case is opposite.
Why can't the modern society in India integrate these caste barriers and become one nation with no caste bars?. How people are killed every day in India because of this cast system...?
How many low cast people are deprived of their lively hood because they have no status in the society and because they had no choice in their birth.
Is there any greater crime in this world than stigmatising a person because he/she was born into a family? Can someone hate their mother and father because they gave birth?
India is the only country where a person is disected into parts because of his birth. There is no difference between the blood of a Brahmin or the blood of a Dalit. The difference is only in the skin. There is no other country or a nation that divides people by their birth. There are segregations in way of status or amount of wealth some one acuires but not because of your birth...
Every person who is born in to this world wants to be proud of his/her birth regardless of caste, color or status.
I wish the government of India and each state governments in the country should make it a part of the education system to teach every child of India that Caste System is curse to the society and it is punishable under the law.

This is truly a sad tale....sounds like something out of a horror tale....I feel for the young man who now has no wife or child....I do not know about India's customs and traditions...so I can not speak on it...but it saddens me to think in this day and age people can still do barbaric things

The vedas talk of Mankind being one family (Vasudeva Kutumb). Only laterday Manu smiriti created this obnoxious caste classification and hierarchy.
Now the lower castes only cling to it and hit the headlines.

I am appalled....It's shocking to think that this has happened in this day and age.....How can women be treated like possessions..? And her boyfriend ...How must he feel? Probably beside himself with grief, I imagine, at having just lost his bride to be and his unborn baby....
