it charges but no screen shows up and it beeps what do i do??

Endless beeping means memory error. Try reseating RAM. If 2 sticks, try one stick at a time. Otherwise you may have to replace them.
Repeating high/low beeps usually means processor problem. Fan could be dead or processor is toasted.

The beeps are used to inform a tech nature of problem.
1st - try to pull up the BIOS by pressing the setup key (typically F3 or F8) write down the bios name
usually Award or pheonix and version #.
2 - write down the beep order beep,..beep, beep
3 - go to bioscentral there they will explain the beeps
sounds like video or memory as your system didnt pass the POST (power on self test)

AH my laptop does the same. is it toshiba? mine is. all i have to do was hold escape. if that doesnt work, try ctrl+alt+del (coltrol+alt+delete)
