Well, you've already told them they could eat all their candy as fast as they want.
Now you have to live with the consequences.
That will probably consist of a lot of belly aches and hyper-active kids that will keep you up.
But hey, eventually it'll run out.
Although, in the long run, your probably teaching your kids bad eating habits.

A little candy everyday is okay, but not too much. What you should do is, make sure they eat each meal i.e. breakfast, lunch and dinner. If they eat each meal and behave then tell them they can have a piece or two of candy BUT make sure you keep the 3 pillow cases in case they try to sneak some!

i'm a baby and that i consume all i will until eventually finally it is going undesirable. I stay in a small city so there are no longer any great issues and it continually is candy from the save of course. i do no longer go trick or treating anymore by way of fact all the sturdy costumes i've got already had and not one of the shops even have any now. The final time I went replaced into 2 years in the past.

the kids are not going to develop bad eating habits from a few days (ok maybe weeks) of having some candy - jeez you got yourself into a good one!hehehe -= well you can tell them they have to eat at least 3 healthy meals a day and they have to brush their teeth at least 3 times a day - You don't say how old your kids are - are they old enough to equate having a bad stomachache after eating a whole bunch of candy? or maybe you could let them eat a whole bunch of candy and if they get a bad stomachache you can tell them it's from eating so much candy at once. It didn't take long for my grandson to figure it out when he was about 3, maybe 4.
3 pillowcases full - each - that's excessive. ask them if they'd like to donate some to a children's hospital or foster care, orphanage, or homeless shelter etc.

Take them somewhere. Go do something to get them away from their stash. If that's impossible then try to play with them. Just something to preoccupy their time and forget about the candy. If none of this works then try taking the whole supply and rationing their portions (say 2 or 3 pieces after lunch and dinner). As a last resort, take the candy and make them go cold turkey for a few days (that might make some unhappy campers though...)

Well, i was going to say none! But then i read they sound older then my daughter.
My daughter is 2 and she has never eaten lollies/candy b4. I don't want to introduce her till she is older, hopefully then she won't have a taste for it.
Ive never given her icecream either. The other day she was at a fairy party and all the kids were tukkn into icrcream, but she wanted yogurt.
Tell them you have just read something on the net about lollies and childrens teeth...
Tell them this...'Do you guys want to put your teeth in a jar when you go to bed?' they should say, nooooooooo!
Then tell them they can only have a few lollies every other day otherwise they will end up with no teeth.
Good luck and don't feed your kids junk!

I know what you mean, I made that same mistake when my kids were young and my son threw up after eating too much. I later found his candy wrappers under his bed! After that year we have done as follows: Have them dump all the candy on the floor and pick out only their most favorite kinds. Re bag only their favorites telling them you'll keep it. (Throw away all the candy that's not their favorite after they go to bed, most kids can't handle the idea of throwing it away themselves) Limit candy to 3-4 pieces of what ever they choose after each meal. Set a date (Thanksgiving or December 20) to throw out any left over candy. Good Luck!

Here's the deal... don't regulate them. They will become spiteful and disown you as a parent. You should give them the illusion of freedom and make sure that they brush their teeth thoroughly or make them do manual labor to gain access to candy. You should not, however, ever limit the number of pieces a day to a stingy low number. It probably doesn't make sense, but just find some way to slow them down without limiting a number to avoid hatred from yo' kids. Ah, but what do i know?

Well, I know things always look different in retrospect, but you really shouldn't have said that. You should have at least come up time periods at which they can have candy and cannot, such as none before lunch, none within 2 hours of dinner, and none within an hour of bedtime. That would be a fairly responsible schedule and allow them to still eat a decent diet.
