Matter means not just occupying space, it has mass, it has shape, can also be classified and living and non-living matter, and so on!

1.You are a living matter. Proof: You are breathing and your heart is functioning and so your brain too!

2. Not just water, even air is displaced when you enter a room and this can be checked and confirmed by suitable measurements with requisite gages! If you want to show the volume of water displacement only to show you occupy the space, go to a mini swimming pool !

make some red colored water and say that its your blood so thats a liquid and then of course make a model of a blood cell or something like that and blood cells have oxygen in them and so do your lungs and then you could like make a bone out of clay and thats a solid, and make a square on the ground with tape and have some volunteers and you get into the square, soon you'll find that you take up space because only a certain amount of people can fit in there

what is matter? if you assume that matter is what the world's made up of then any interraction should prove that. (i recommend punching your teacher! joking!) and if you want to prove you take space then strangle your teacher! your hands want to take the space that his neck occupies. i don't want to have a go at your teacher but he should stick to physics questions, not philosophy.

Hmmm...that's a toughie. Did your teacher give you any other ideas? If so, tell me, and does it have to be your whole body?
