The dress fashion of the day seemed to change in a more global way when it did change. One second the cloths everyone wore seemed out of date or not hip, the next...you were in!
You would have seen and sensed the different groups we had in schools back then. We had hoods, who were the rough and ready kids wanting to fight.
The jocks who stayed together and were willing to defend themselves or their girlfriends.
And the geeks who tried to stay under the radar for fear of the other groups.
There were more one on one confrontations, boys were tougher..I know they hate hearing that but follow the logic. We didn't drive as a rule so we walked a lot. We didn't sit in front of the TV or a computer (there were no PCs) back then. Our electronic world was picking up the rotory phone and dialing my girlfriend.

It was the era of the hippies and John F. Kennedy was the president. It was also when the Beatles, and the Rolling Stones came to the USA and changed rock and roll forever. After that music in America was never the same. And lets not forget about flower children, Woodstock, and Haight Ashbury.

The Viet Nam war was on everyone's mind. President Kennedy was assassinated. Powerful muscle cars were being raced on the streets, not this pansy Japanese car "drifting" crap.
We wore Levi's and shirts.
Try Google-type in "1960's".

With a quarter you could see a movie, get some popcorn and a moonpie, and still have some pennies leftover for the train ride home.
