this is a really good question... i'm going to have to think about these for a while before i answer though...

i'm going to add each one as i think of them in detail lol...

Gladys Sharp - I think she is obsessive/compulsive... She's homicidal too... She's just a little crazy in general... She let the power of being the president or whatever of the homeowner's association go to her head... But obsessive is the best way to describe her!!

Darth Vader - I think he has abandoment issues... 'nuff said... lol

Jigsaw - OH my GOD... this guys is just f--ked up in the head... I mean, I've had this argument with my friend over a hundred times... My friend thinks he's perfectly sane and that he has nothing to do with torturing the people he does... I disagree... I mean, what he did was wrong.. Who is he to play god and put people in the situations he does?? He is definitely narcissistic personality disorder and has major anger issues about his health predicament... he just needs to take it down a notch and deal with dying instead of trying to kill everyone else, so they'll "appreciate" their lives... come on, everyone has a bad day now and then!! i also think he has a touch of agoraphobia... only because he puts people in such situations that it's super hard for them to get out of...

ernst blofeld - antisocial personality disorder (he only likes his cat!!)

annie wilkes - definitely obsessive/compulsive... and delusional... homicidal too lol and excellently played by kathy bates!! i love kathy bates... she's so wonderful!! =)

norman bates - dissociative identity disorder... he also has some effed up sexual dysfunctions and emotional issues because of his loopy mother... eeeks... and to think that movie was based on a true story!! scary...

shooter gavin - narcissistic personality disorder... conduct disorder... hmm... obsessive/compulsive too...

that's all i can think of for now!!! =)

Not a psychologist, but I'd say Norman Bates is schizophrenic or suffers from some sort of avoidance disorder, Shooter Gavin has a histrionic personality disorder, and Jigsaw is a narcissist.

I don't know about Darth Vader, and I sadly haven't seen the other movies.

Over The Hedge Gladys Sharp

Okay--I never saw over the hedge.
Blofeld--megalomania stemming from sociopathic issues or psychosis--Fleming never really clued us in.
Wilkes--Obssessive compulsive behavior with possible psychotic episodes
Darth--more megalomania tied to obsessivism with the Dark Side and death trauma
Norman (is that you) is a classic split personality,
with one half totally ignorant of the other. Probable psychosis in the form of episodes triggered by key events relating to sexual repression.
Didn't see Gilmore
Saw--didn't bother with the movies; probably deep sociopathic trauma leading to S & M obsession.
