And they don't do anything about the dogs terrorizing you and scratching you with their crusty paws? One is a pit bull and the other is an American bull dog. Both are over weight and meaty too.

What do you do in this case?

They need to lock their dirty muts up when they have company. Nobody wants some big a** dog jumping all over them when they are not used to dogs.

I have one that has a very nice mixed breed and am the only one he jumps on , because he stayed with my dogs at camp snoopy for a week. He gets excited by the scent of my dogs. Any other time he's a perfectly trained. I knew I was a bad influence but i didn't think my dogs were

My friend had a dog that wasn't trained. It was a pug and those things have so much damn energy. There really wasn't anything I could do. Eventually I got so tired of it that I stopped going over to her house. I always invited her over to hang out.

When I was going through training with my dog, the owners were taught to raise your knee when a dog goes to jump on you. Don't kick the dog or hurt them though. By raising your knee you will create enough room between you and the dog so that you won't get jumped on.

hmmmm.... I'm sensing an Alpha Dog scenario of implied and overt intimidation I have two suggestions:

1) Keep a vial of tiger, lion and or wolf urine in your purse.
The scent of a higher up the food chain predator should cause them to back down.

2) Keep a snub tailed alligator in your purse that you can whip out if they just insist on getting too close.

uh uh. No way girlfriend! Don't go a visitin where the dogs are more respected than the human friends.

If you are up to it, tell the friend that this bothers you.

I don't mind if they jump on me (I love dogs) but I hate it when they smell your crotch!
