If someone is selling sports articles that were proven not to be signed by the players, what legal method is available to stop them?

Ebay likes to ignore these and claim no responsibility but there must be an outside organization that stops people from selling misrepresented items to uninformed people.

I can get my money back through a filing with paypal or my credit card but I'd like to stop this person from preying on hundreds of others.

Thanks

Selling forgeries and replicas can be a violation of law. Start with your local police department. They should be able to refer you to the appropriate agency.

I saw a People's Court (of all things) where someone bought a baseball bat supposedly used and signed by a player, but later the buyer found out it wasn't genuine, and he got his money back.
If you were a victim on eBay, leave negative feedback, complain to eBay, but the dorks out there just open other accounts and do it over and over. I have quit buying on there after having been scammed a couple times.
