I don't like even the sound of the words "has Serbia died?" It's a horrible thing to say. It will never die, not even in a clumsy wording of an innocent question that I believe yours is. As long as there is one Serb on earth, she will live in him.
She's not sleeping on her own will. She's been lured and slowly poisoned by her enemies. But the deeper the sleep, the stronger the awakening. She'll rise again and let the world rejoice in her glory.
Can you hear
"Vostani Serbie,
davno si zaspala,
u mraku ležala,
sada se PROBUDI!"
I can!
edit: Smart Guy, cool down man... I know you're passionate about Serbia - we all are - just try not to take it too personally. I don't think the asker's a provocateur, just a bit careless in phrasing his question.

Upon the intervention of the UN on the former Yugoslavia, Serbia has entered into a pace of "internal reconstruction", where among others, identity is an issue as is, political stability. In that sense, yes, you can say she is "sleeping it out". It is expected nevertheless, she will wake up, and hopefully for the better.

As far as I know Serbia is on silent negotiating mode of her international affairs.
Yet the temporary hibernation should not be taken for weakness. The beast may be sleeping, but is always on the alert and beware all that you enter its territory or in any way endangered its vital living ground.
As for Greece, more than once was on their side and is always looked as sister country. In my part of Greece "Plave Grobnica" is a constant reminder of that bondage through the ages. My personal experience is of "dobro" people, with the mean of the word as it known in Greece. More than can be said for any of the other neighbors of ours.

Haven't you heard that Serbia was reborn again, just recently. After kingdom, Yugoslavia and Montenegro union, finally, again, is on fresh start. Maybe this transitional period seems like death or hibernation, but both of our friends and enemies are here to prove that it is alive, so to conclude: long live Serbia!
