what to choose: higher contrast ratio or higher brightness?

I am considering two 24" lcd monitors one with (400cd/m2 brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio) AND THE OTHER (300cd/m2 brightness and 4000:1 contrast ratio).
which should i go for? any help would be appreciated.

Get the one with high contrast ratio. But if you do gaming, also check the response time and get one w/ the lowest.

Get the higher contrast ratio.

I doubt that you would see the difference! Those are very good specs on either of them. Good luck
