"If you're looking for heroes, don't look to me. Don't look to Elizabeth. We have support. We have health care. We have the American people behind us," Edwards says. "Look to them. They are the ones who we speak for. They are the ones that we stand up for."

in theory i couldnt agree more, the working americans are the real heroes. but why ruin that by being quoted as saying we have no choice but to raise taxes. since when is giving the american public less of what they legitimately earn, "honoring them"? in the same vein, why is taxing their retirement(scoial security) equating national defense to peanut storage through funding and wasting valuable legislative time in congress through ridiculous pork spending tied to defense honoring the american public. if anything its surely picking their pockets.
quote
"If we are not their voice, they will never have a voice."
isnt it time to clear the laryngitis then?

real simple one steve
by not proposing idiotic tax and spend schemes like hillary insurance two. the idea of paying for 80 thou a year family to have government funded health insurance is so ridiculous, that it barely deserves acknowledgement. living within your means, a concept nearly impossible for most liberals to undersand.

Show me a Democrat who doesn't want to raise taxes, and I will take it as the first ever recorded occurrence of a miracle.

It's sad, but Reagan was not involved in a war. Can you get free health care if you make less that $80,000 or is this another one of those "rich folks" tricks. Should Edwards loan Hillary's mdeia manager some cash t get a haircut.

If I wasn't so much into being a normal human being that feels when you commit a crime you do the time and yes bite the bullet if so, i might become a liberal democrat.

As far as I am concerned any man that pays $400 for a hair cut is doing something right and may be about to do it again.
I have a big problem that Bush has given away the farm trying to pacify all the libs and it only makes them want more. They whine like kids. That is insane and too much burden. He is also giving the country to the democrats, build the fence. Peoplea are going to vote as they fell, except for the demos.

No this is not Reganomics, too soon and not the same for that. At least Edwards could sue Mexico and wouldn't have all that "murder and rape baggage. I still wonder why they don't bote for the best demoncrat and tha's Dennis, he is "the" democrat. Why do they shun him? He also has a trophy wife someone told me on answers one time.

Who do you think of will pay the better taxes? the customers, a.ok.a. the middle type occurs to be the main important team of human beings who consumes. This Senate (Democrat controlled) handed a bill, giving the states permission to convey at the same time taxes. What business enterprise is it of the federal government, in spite of the fact that if the states convey at the same time taxes? in my view, i think of it fairly is a back door attitude to permit the federal government to convey at the same time taxes on on line revenues sooner or later. is that this yet another broken promise by using President Obama, to no longer strengthen taxes on the middle type? No it fairly is a states revenues tax develop, that the Obama administration has inspired threatened the governors into accepting.

Because whoever is the next President will HAVE to raise taxes to pay off this war and our ridiculous level of debt. Cutting taxes in a time of war is crazy, like taking a voluntary cut in income just at the time you know you'll need it the most.

We've basically been living off of the national credit cards, and the bill's coming due REAL FAST.

I'm really starting to like Edwards too. The reason he isn't first is because unlike Hillary, he isn't taking mass donations from the drug companies and so on. Since he hasn't sold himself, he has less money. Plus Hillary is banking on all the Bill Clinton fans (what a joke, he lied people! but he's cool cause he got a BJ? wtf) and Oboma is bringing in a lot of support from the black and minority groups. So that leaves Edwards who to me is the working mans president. He's about the only one out of all these smucks who didn't come from an Ivy school or have rich family or parents.

They don't give a d**n about the ordinary American people. When Dems scream Soak the Rich, they know it won't happen. Raise taxes and you KNOW the middle class will be drowned in them.

Ever hear of the AMT tax. What a joke. A tax that was going to really GET those evil rich guys. And now it's drowning the middle class. Again.

The Dems know it too. Cynical as they can be.

For all its weaknesses, government reflects our priorities. Federal government spending on wealth transfers and other "welfare" programs far exceeds spending on the core functions of government: national defense, law enforcement, and the judiciary. We favor "equal outcomes" over "rule of law," i.e. we are entitled to anything we consider important to our life and comfort, regardless of ability to pay. This is an unintended consequence of a lack of belief in an afterlife; without an "eternal reward" we feel compelled to "get it here and now!"

Spoken like a true kool-aid drinker

Who do YOU think is going to pay the ( Tillion Dollar deficit that George W Bush has saddled the country with?

Its high time we taxed thee rich proportionately

Warren buffet (Third richest man in the WORLD--democrat)

challenged his fellow billionaires and millionaires this

If they could proove that they pay more taxes (% wise of income) than thier secretarys, he'd GIVE THEM $1,000,000

so far none have done so

Even Warren himself thinks its unfair that he pays less than his office people (% wise of income)

Edwards is a hypocrite. Instead of raising taxes, why not propose cutting spending?
