I've having a rough week and this morning, when I was walking to school Let It Be came on my MP3 player and I was thinking, why the heck do I need to care? Let it be man! And I just started crying. I don't know why, I just bursted into tears... it felt good, lol.

So what was the last song that made you literally shed tears?

I've actually cried at 2 songs today, I know I know sad, lol.
First one was 23 by Jimmy Eat World. I have no idea why I cry at this song, but I do, its such a beautiful song. If you haven't heard I'd suggest having a listen (:
The second was Mountain Goats-woke up new, again I have no idea why I cry at it, but I always end up crying at it.
I've actually cried to Let It Be under kind of the same circumstances as you, I absolutely love that song (:

Wond'ring Aloud by Jethro Tull. I dated someone for a year and some months and that just recently ended. I was doing so so good on the "be strong, no crying" thing but then I had to be stupid and play music at random and this song came on and I kid you not... I cried. Good and hard.
Lots of songs make me tear up, only a couple make me bawl.

"And More Again" by Love from the album "Forever Changes"...It reminds me of the end of a particularly intense relationship. I was dumped in a really painful way, and never saw the girl again. The way Arthur Lee sings "and you don't know how much I love you" always touches a nerve, despite the fact that the relationship in question ended 7 years ago. I'm over it(don't worry about that..), but that song always takes me back to that particular period in my life

'Silver Shoes' by Wishbone Ash off the 'There's the Rub' album. I turned my youngest sister onto them in the early 80's when she was around 25, and that was her favorite song for the longest time. She passed away in 1995, and we played it at her funeral.
'There's the Rub' is still one of my favorite Wishbone Ash albums, but I've always tried to avoid playing side 1 (it was the opening track), and on the CD version I always start it at track #2.
Though I do play the song every year on the anniversary of her passing after drinking several beers. It always brings a tear to my eye.

Whenever my beautiful wife and I are alone in the home and I put on "Lost Without Your Love" by Bread, we both shed some tears. I'm a sentimental fool, so I mist up at the drop of a hat. It was one I played at our first Christmas, so she wells up, too. We both realize that it's true.
