So who else is super, insanely jealous that they can't read "The Tales of Beedle the Bard"? Unless, of course, you have at least $62,000 to spend on it. Which is so unfair- I want to read them so badly! :(

Persiphone, obviously, you've never read Harry Potter.

I wish I could read that so bad! But I don't have that type of money. I understand why J. K. Rowling wants to do that. She wants to raise a lot of money for charity. While I think that raising money for charity is important, she could just do like she did with Fantastic Beasts and the Quidditch book. Too bad for us middle class people.

Wait a little longer for the auction to be done with as much publicity as possible, then she certainly will annouce that this fantastic new book (earning immediatly a "litterary" price that she " doen't deserve, oh no, I do not deserve it, oh no, I do not deserve it, oh no ..., thank to my sister, thank to Joel and Annah and Christopher, thanks to the plumber who repaired my loo when I was finishing the last novel ...." )

Then she will annouce on her website that the fantastic book (written by her own hand !!! you imagine ????? ) is sold for the low price of 25 $ per page !!! Great little HP fan, run to your store and get a copy of JK hand written marvelous world !!! Thanks to you she will add a tower to her new casttle in Barein ....

I am so sad to see that, how can HP fans be so naiv... first Dumbledor is gay, now Beedle the Bard comes out and then maybe we will understant that Beedle is gay also in next BBC or conference about her "books" ....

She delivers them in silver and fine stones ..... I think she has "big head" syndrome, she thinks she is Flaubert or Shakespeare , please help ..... money, money, money... all is well .....

And herein lies the real reason why J. K. Rowling outed Dumbledore.

Like most people said, for her own agenda.

She has played her fans once again. Unfortunately, you all can't see it.

J. K. Rowling will continue to tease you all until you say, "Enough is enough!"

She can take her "rare" books and shove them!

Not to worry, I imagine it will be published at some point. It sound like it is too short to publish by itself, so it might get into a new edition of DH as an appendix or in the Potter Encyclopedia when she does that.

I think it's nice. She's trying to raise money to help abused children in the British Isles. It wouldn't be any different than if a famous singer put an album out that way.

I think the people who are going to receive it(excluding the one who will win in the auction), were the ones who really helped JK during the darkest times of her life so they really deserve it. Although I must admit that I'm super jealous of them.

I think the person that buys it should post an audio , like in, 30 parts, on you tube so the rest of us average American, or otherwise, families can listen to it. I have always wondered what they were!!!!!!

i would love to read it but it is kinda bitchy of her to only make seven copies, its crap, plus its not fair to her fans who dont happen to have that kind of cash lying around.

I wouldnt pay 62 cents. After all her crap changing characters from Harry Potter to get her name in the papers, this is yet another publicity stunt. she has billions. If she wants to give 62K to charity, she should do it herself. As far as I am concerned she can take Beedle the Bard and put it where the sun don't shine over Hogwart's. She is a fake - a phony - a hack. Let her keep her five copies or whatever she is selling. She is done as an author. Grow up - find another author to read - one who doesn't change information from their books after the fact.

They're, Their, There - Three Different Words.

Careful or you may wind up in my next novel.
