"Emotional" - emo is a style or a lifestyle that involves dark dress, hair 3 weeks past a needed haircut, males wearing dark eyeliner and constant comments about how the world and life both suck wahh waah wah. Popular among some younging nowadays.

They are sad and cut theirselves.
They listen to Crappy music like heavy metal, rock, emo.

It’s a whinny-@ssed type of music. I assume in fashion it refers to the styles that emo musicians and fans wear.
