wow there would hardly be enough people left alive to do the hangings

I'll be first in line to see that! especially if the crime was against a child. Although I would like to see them rot in jail being raped by a very large man for the rest of their jailed life cuz they decided to be a weak, pathetic individual and molest a innocent young person.

right on! though hanging mite be a bit much to list online but im there with you.no but seriously 2-4 yrs time in prison for rape is ridiculous. it should be much longer. like foever, perhaps. the damage done to those that are hurt, raped, molested, assalted, etc. is something they deal with the rest of their life. the harraser needs more punishment than just a few yrs in jail. personally, in my case should God forbid that ever happen to me, i am as southern as they come and my family would kill them before the cops ever found them. im thinking cement grave and a castration w/o vicodin!

I agree with the sentiment but frankly, I think a rapist would find spending the rest of his life in prison, where he's most likely to be raped himself, to be a harder punishment than a quick death.

yes.
child molesters, rapists, and murderers (including attempted murder) have no place in this world, and the sooner they are sent to hell the better. If we are worried about them maybe being innocent, then put them in jail for life, with no possibility for parole.
Rehabilitation should only be considered possible for criminals who don't fall into those categories.
And unless you yourself or one of your immediate family members has fallen victim to one of these crimes, I don't want to hear it about how awful this is to say.

Amazing how many people have no concept of cruel and unusual punishment and no respect for the Constitution.

i don't think any man should have to die for his crimes. what gives any individual the right over the life of another? and furthermore, i don't think any man, not even the highest degree of the court, should have the power to subject any other man to a judgement ending in death for no man should have the power to determine the fate of another and label it "justice". it is God's job to judge and only he who gives life can take it. men are equal, and should not have such jurisdiction over one another
