Someone sensitive to the word idiot I suppose...was a pretty good answer otherwise. I have no idea how they can penalize you twice...

Sorry, most of us are adilts and capable of letting any untimely comments rollof our back like the water on a duck. However, the community guidelines say you musn't disrespect someone else.
Of course there are some who do it all the time and evidently get away with it.
I have gotten violations because what I've said was misconstrued. You cannot fight it as Yahoo does not give you a chance and to be truthful, it looks to me like you called someone an ID. 10. T ( to borrow from my friend, PC Grunt)
Just be careful, politics can make us passioate in our beliefs, we all get that. But there should be respect for another persons views

I am the R&S regular that Sagacious_ness is refering to. I recieved 2 violation notices at the same time and lost 22 point. Can't understand it. I got the same e-mail twice.

Surely it should be 2 points and is this a violation anyway?

Question: Is atheism more common than we think?

Question Details: I seem to be finding that so many people on the Internet (and real life) are atheists. Most of the time, the initial reaction is, "Wow, I thought I was the only one! Who would have thought?" I'm starting to suspect that there are many, many more atheists and agnostics out there than the polls and surveys convey. Hell, I'm only 16, and I know two other atheists from school who are my age! So is it safe to say that there are more closet atheists in society than we know? Just from the demographics of R&S, I'm starting think that may be so.

Deleted Answer: Here's a site that tells you http://www.adherents.com/Religions_By_Adherents.html

I wonder if there is some kind of glitch in the violations system. I just saw a post in the CYM Yahoo Group about this happening to someone else in R&S and they also lost 22 points for it. Maybe it could help you in arguing your violations to show where it's happened to someone else too:

I got a violation notice for this answer the other day. I suppose I should be glad it was only one notice:
- Question: Is it true that all Bush is saying, is give war a chance?
- Question Details: EVERYBODY join in.... "All Bush is say-innngggg, is give war a channnnnccceee"
-- Deleted Answer: Can you hear that "thud.... thud... thud"? It's not a car with a flat tire....that's John Lennon rolling in his grave. Now put down the keyboard and help roll him back over, OK?

It's not OK to call other answers members idiots, NEVER. Even if they, not talking bout this case necessarily just in general, act like idiots or worse calling them names is not allowed. It's that simple. If you feel a question is offensive, dumb or whatever you can choose not to answer it. When you think the question violates the community guidelines you have the option to report it.
If you choose to answer a question, any question no matter how big a violation that q is or how dumb you think it is, you are always bound by the community guidelines you promised to follow which do not allow hostility or name calling

It appears like somebody went into youre questions and suggestions and did reported them for no reason and theres no statue of subject in this happening and the three optimum suited themes which you would be able to do is attempt ideal all those violation notices optimistically you do win on all of them or optimum of them and get rid of those human beings that are in youre contacts which you do journey very uncomfrontable with and available block them and turn youre questions and suggestions and community to very own as nicely so people who aint youre contacts cant see them

Some users are sensitive to the word idiot, but they are insensitive to calling you a coward. I guess that is how they get their jolly's, reporting people, it gives them self worth and a hardy, ha, ha on you. Don't be discourage and stick to your convictions, because in the end, it really doesn't matter anyway, it's just a public forum.

Your statement "OR IDIOTS LIKE YOU." Community guidelines prohibit insulting other participants.

You should not have gotten hit twice, I would challenge the second one and indicate you challenge it based on it duplicating the other notice. I suspect that two Yahoo workers worked complaints at the same time.

If they don't like your answers they report them. Challenge every single violation notice. Also, you should point out that the asker used a derogatory word for Conservative and asked an inflammatory question.

I would go to the forum and ask them to review you answer. They will review your answer and decide whether they really think you are in violation.

I have been in violation a few times, and it never sticks once I go to forum.
