I just cut and pasted this, so its word for word.. Read this below????

"Christmas should be downgraded unless other religious festivals are marked on an even footing, a Government think-tank has said.

The Institute of Public Policy Research has suggested various ideas to make the UK more multicultural.

It also wants "national culture" barriers to be torn down to help immigrants settle into the UK."

I really do give up.??? If anyone comes here, this is England OK...do as we do or dont come here.
The one thing English people should be proud of is that we dont go to live in other countries and preach how they should run it... Fed up with bending over backwards to do good for others. Trouble is if we dont we are called racist...
As I said in my Question just minutes ago, I'm not racist, I have many foreign friends.
It really is getting ******* stupid now, downgrade christmas,,,, cant say black board at schools but you can say white board,,,, what next?

Quote from your question (rant) above :

"The one thing English people should be proud of is that we dont go to live in other countries and preach how they should run it..."

Ha! I guess you never heard of the British Empire then. Or to bring it bang up to date, Iraq ... or even, have you ever seen the average English lout on holiday in Spain??

Good grief. And the reason that black boards are now called white boards is because they are white and this is so that computers can be projected onto them - their full name is 'interactive white boards' and most classrooms have them.

Ok i totally agree with you that it is getting ridiculous that the immigrants have more rights and are better taken care of to the detriment of the local people,i'm not from England by the way, i'm from Ireland and we have got the same problems. BUT i think you should check your history, for around 800 years the English have been going to other countries and telling them what to do. Nothing has changed now, one word, Iraq, what would you call what England is doing there. You might want to take a step back and thing about the facts before saying that English people should be proud of the fact that you don't go live in other countries and preach how they should run it. I could list an awful lot of nationalities that would argue with that comment.

The only answer so far that got it right is peter's. You, as a living organism and human being will create in your mind whatever it needs to survive. To be blunt, you are making your own phantasms, and people do this all the time, some for solace, some out of fear. This is completely normal. We do this because there's nothing absolutely certain subconsciously. You just have to realize those are products of your mind (beneficial or harmful). Then, you can walk around day to day comfortably but understanding _real_ danger still exists. It's a balance thing. People also sometimes think they are abducted by aliens :) You don't have to worry about imaginary kids tugging on your blouse. Well, you can, if that floats your boat; meaning, if it makes you accept reality better.

Of course we live in other countries and tell them how to run it we have done for years. You can call a black board a black board and you call white board a white board because it is white. I think it a good idea to get rid of culture barriers if possible. All my experience with other cultures is people from the Indian sub continent and they seemed to enjoy Christmas as much as I do and I enjoyed Diwali. Don't do Ramadan though but then nor does my pal who is Muslim

Well I always wondered how some of the end times would be but I think most of us are overlooking the small things that is and have changed our world. We look for big things but do you agree its those little things that are making the most impact? Or is it just me?This year has really been a changed thing not exactly to put your finger on but there just the same.A feeling maybe?Me I will not change my Christmas holiday to suit anyone, they can be included or not, thats just asking too much.

We had this in Australia a few years ago, intelligencia suggesting we should bend over backwards to accomodate our new migrants who are quite vocal in their opposition to easter & christmas holidays. Luckily the majority of people told them to cram those suggestions up their proverbial holes & the consensus is, you come here, deal with it, dont try & change us. Im sure the British people wont have a problem doing the same.

England sounds almost as ridiculous as America. Political correctness was funny when it just upset racists, but now that even liberals find it a bit much it must certainly have gone too far.
