A friend has just donated to me (hehee) his "old" Hp 5000 desktop. Pentium 4 2ghz....Trouble is on boot up it wants me to connect to microsoft..... if i dont it just keeps looping back to the start....and I can't...because I dont have the same network provider he had (so I cant even install my network isp setup)..

Is there a way around this, by disabling something in BIOS perhaps?

Hiya, green round thingy. rp5000? sure, its a point of sale desktop pc with enough usb's on the back to plug Blackpool lights into. (sockets for handheld PDA's and bar code scanners, that kinda thing). As for the Windows probolemmo, well ya could always reformat the drive I guess.
