i am referring to the new version. I noticed that both hispanics are killed off in the first 45 minutes of the almost 2 hour movie... and they are killed off in the worst of ways:
the first is kicked off into a fire after he shows the way for the survivors... he is seen as dispensable... at least to me... and the second dies because she is too scared and weak to hold her breath for a long period of time. this seem a little racist because they are not even mentioned again after their passing....

didn't really notice any racism but i did notice that coincidently the group of people that try to get out of the ship is a firefighter, a doctor, an architect, a professional swimmer, which makes it like the ultimate team to escape...

Don't take things so personally that way. No one mentioned the "white guy" after he fell to his death and drowned while crossing sides of the ship. And really it's not healthy to seperate things into races. Some people always have to make racial issues...
And I'm Mexican... so don't start thinking my comment is racially motivated...

Well, the gay guy lasts till nearly the end. They seemed to keep the best looking people around, and killed off the ugly people first.
