What else are patients going to do for entertainment? You can't just leave them lying in bed all day. Even sick people need some sort of stimulation.

Personally, if I were in a hospital I'd prefer a computer or a good book, but whatever floats your boat.

Besides, television isn't bad for you in a physical sense. It's bad for you in a mental sense. Everything's so dumbed down.

I don't know, But about tv in Hospitals... When I was about 8 years old, I got nightmares from the slightest movies (Even snow whight-when she was running through the forest) Anyway, I went to visit a relative, and in the lobby, there was a Horror movie on and I still get chills thinking of how it looked then. So, I don't think that TV in Hospitals are bad, I just think that people should be considarate in what they watch, 'cuz there may be a kid passing by!

they have tv's in hospitals to keep people updated on the news.. they normally dont show stuff like heroes or anyother tv show thats a entertaining show.. they show stuff like the new so that you can keep updated on whats happening outside of the hospital cuz there are some people who are there all the time cuz they have someone they love sick in there and they want to be there with them and dont want to be cut off from the world for forever

To keep people out of their misery of being bored and to get them busy on watching a TV while being hipnotized...LOL! Its also helpful in case of a disaster or emergency case as well.... I suppose. Can you imagine going to a hospital with no TV whatsover?
