does anyone know anything about Britain-1943, mainly things that were happening in the countryside? Or does anyone have a link to a page about something like this?

Please don't say do your own homework as i genuinely tried but could find anything except that there was the war, and somerset's flying squad was in Japan or something...

Please help!!!

my gran was a year old then and would have been sharing a room in a farmhouse with about ten brothers and sisters - there were 14 altogether - this seemed to be the norm then as they didnt believe in birth control back then. her father was very strict as the men were back then and the mum didnt get involved in the discipline her role was to cook, clean and look after the children while he worked on the farm where the children would later start their working life. hope this helps.
