Seems to me that many "users" did not lose.

The latest case being Martina Hingis, who just tested positive for Cocaine use. But, let's also look at:

1) Barry Bonds
2) Lance Armstrong
3) Bill "I didn't inhale" Clinton
4) George W. "I didn't exhale" Bush
5) Barrack Obama who has admitted to Cocaine use.
6) Mick Jagger & Keith Richards

The List goes on and on.......

i think use and abuse are different. it also depends on the life style you are going for. rockers and hard core stars have to have some 'dirt' and instablity to them to get any reputation and for the people to identify with them. everyone goes through hard times too, so i think most people have had a point in their life where they have turned to something to ease pain, whether it be legal- like alcohol or bungee jumping, or illegal- like street racing or drugs. it really comes down to how good of a choice you make when you are unstable or under pressure.

Depends if they did it once or continue. Anyway we can see thousands of drug users in the gutters in the big city.
