The temperature is currently 0 degrees and dropping 1.5 degrees an hour.
a) 7 hours ago, it would be 7 x -1.5 degrees warmer (-7 x -1.5 = 10.5) --> 10.5 degrees
b) 6 hours from now, it will be 6 x 1.5 degrees colder (6 x -1.5) = -9 degrees
c) 6 degrees / -1.5 degrees/hr = -4 = 4 hours ago
d) -8 degrees / -1.5 degree/hr = 5 1/3 hours from now (5 hours 20 minutes)

a) 7 hrs ago, temp was 10.5 degrees.
b) In 6 hrs , temp will be 9 degrees.
c) Temp was 6 degrees, 4 hrs ago.
d) In between 5 & 6 hrs time -determine from graph.
(It will be -7.5 degrees & falling in 5 hrs time).

0+(1.5)*7=10.5 degrees
b)6 hrs from now
0-(1.5)*6=-9 degrees
c) temperature will be 6 degrees
0+(1.5)*x=6
1.5x=6
x=6/1.5
x=4
4 hours ago
d) temperature will be -8 degrees
0-(1.5)*x=-8
-1.5x=-8
x=-8/-1.5
x=5.33

im dont shore if these are right im only in 6th grade and if this is what your brother's h.w. is every night i feel bad for him, but here's what i think they are
a. 10.5 degrees
b. -9.0 degrees
c. 4 hours ago
d. 5 1/2 hours from now
