It looks like there is no stopping Hilary Clinton from winning her party's nomination.

So should the Republicans think only of finding someone to beat her? Or should they look for a candidate who best represents the ideals, views, and values of the party?

And if they do need to think only of beating Clinton, then who should they choose?

It's a good question, and it gets to the heart of what's wrong with politics in America. Of course, each party should explain it's beliefs, and choose candidates who best exemplify those beliefs. Present them to the American people as clearly as possible, and let them choose. But for people in the business, it's all about winning at any cost. You can change what you believe ten times or more. Swear you will do things you have no intention of doing. Accuse your opponent of things you know aren't true. Just win, baby. About all we can do is refuse to vote for candidates who behave that way, and let them know it.

If the Democrats want my vote they have better come up with someone that can beat Hillary and quit worrying about who the Republicans are running.

Think about it already 50% of the people polled say they won't vote for Hillary. Don't ask me which poll that was, I was trying to go to sleep listening to the radio. But IF that poll is correct how do the Democrats expect to win running Hillary?
When you have to get 51% to win does it make much sense to spot the other side 50%

IMHO the GOP should be looking for someone who will dissolve the IRS, NEA, BATFE and the FBI's Hostage Rescue Team, then push for overturning GCA '68 and NFA '34.

We should also be looking for a candidate who will institute a flat tax of less than 16% and force the federal government to work within that budget.

Our candidate would also favor abolishing rules of engagement for our troops in Iraq and kicking the press out of the war zone. This would seriously shorten our stay there and reduce American casualties.

This candidate does not exist and that's good for Democrats. Such a candidate would win by a landslide!

The Republicans should pick the best candidate. Mrs. Clinton is not a shoo-in, especially after the last debate.

That's too easy. The page that runs around doing little tasks for the senators and the lot would be enough after last nights debate.

Seems obvious to me that Clinton has cinched up the Dem side. As for the GOP that's what the primaries are for to select someone. Watching the GOP I guess you could say "Its not over until its over" (football saying).

McCain only. Has the experience and integrity to out do her at every turn. Appeals and angers both sides of the aisle and has a track record of working across the aisle while remining generally conservative. In some polls, he even beats her.

Ron Paul would beat Hillary. Half of the Democrats already support the man and the sane half of the Republicans support him. He would beat Hillary head to head.

Clinton is despised by so many more than the "poll takers". She is not a shoe-in, and if she is nominated by the DNC, they would only be digging their own grave.
