She was a vendor, and they stole her service. Of course, non-consensual intercourse is rape.

I agree with the judge...

Where is this woman's personal responsibility. This is not the safest profession, and I think that has been verified numerous times through out history.

If you are going to sell your body, then you are nothing more than a commodity....Have some self respect.

Save the rape charge for woman who are truly violated, through no action of their own.

Don't belittle the true victims by placing them in the same category as this female.

She consented to sex....just not free sex. So her only beef should be not getting paid for services rendered.

It is not her "profession" that made this, not a rape...it was the circumstances...had she been jogging in central park and pulled into the bushes, of course that would be rape, regardless of what she did for a living.

Non-consensual sex at the point of a gun is rape. Violently raped by four men, and then again by the courts. So if you agree to have sex with your boyfriend and he brings in his mates to rape you, and you have no choice because there's a gun at your head, that's not rape, because you agreed to have sex, even though it was just with him?
Wrong, to the first answer, a prostitute can be raped. Just like a non-virgin unmarried woman can be raped, although there are some men who will tell you that's not possible either, because they were no longer "pure", and deserving of common decency.

I think the judge was correct. I think that the escort has a better claim against the crooks, who will do longer time than a sexual assault of the prostitute. By not having to "admit" that she was sexually assault --- the woman may have additional right to sue under civil law for each of these individuals.

IMO the female just took away the emotionally prejudicial sexual aspect and allow the woman to be the poor business service provider that she is as a victim of a robbery by armed force. The state should get a weapons charge against one of these guys --- adding a federal wrap.

This is sick and I'm saddened by it. Forced at gunpoint to have sex with 4 guys? How can anyone think this is anything but rape?

Actually, it would be rape.

What they sell is not sex, but rather *consensual* sex. Therefore, though sex was stolen from her, since *consensual* sex cannot be stolen, it was rape not theft of services.
