give me an actual reason not "because they suck" i just noticed that allot of people hate them and i was wondering why

okay, to all of the people saying they are a fad, i found them knowing only about 3 kids who liked em, and i was just filpin thru bands on wikipedia, decided to listen to em, and instaly super-liked their music!! i didnt find out that so many people liked em until afterwards...and, to the people sayin that theyll die out in a few years, any of their TRUE fans will never let em die out completely...i may have only listened to them since 2 summers ago, but i cannot get enough of their music...so...no matter wut happens, ill always like em...
and in response to ur question, i made a theory the other day about why people hate em, and stuff...
okay, stupid little idiots start stereotyping...[problem #1]...then they stereotype kids as emo, based on untrue things ie. cutting wrists...so they think people who cut themselves are emo, which can be true, but again, is only a stereotype...and anybody who has ONE single "emo" characteristic is considered fully "emo"...then, the kids unfairly called emo start listening to people like mcr...so mcr gets labled as emo...then, since these stupid people and their stereotyping gives emo to so many more people, and give it a bad rep, people instantly hate the name, whether or not theyve heard em...
thats one theory, and i came up with it on friday, wen i took the time to think thru a question similar to urs...of course, some people just plain dont like mcr, just cuz its not their thing...and i cant blame, people like different things...so yeah...

I find myself wondering this very often.
I think its because, since the black parade, they have gotten more attention, therfore more fans and have attracted alot of young girlish fans, just cause they think 'the singers hot'.
They get really obsessed and annoying.
And then they kinda represent the band- to people who dont know them.
Also, people think its cool to hate on bands that are popular.
Did they get this much hate before the black parade? no.
Because their doing something different, they are wrong, oh and sellouts, and dont care about the music, and just a fad. Cheap insults.

I like MCR but im not obsessed.. i think there hated cuz people are over obsessed with them. Believe me i know. I have friends that have stolen my ipod from my ears and ran away with it just to listen to them...

I like them they are my 2nd fav band, AFI is my number 1 thou.
And don't think everybody hates them, just some people,
and that do well it probably is because there EMO why peolple hate emo's I don't know...

There is just nothing unique or interesting about the music or the band. Really broke no new ground sound wise.

i am far from hating them. i love them. their lyrics have so much meaning, and they just all around rock. i think a lot of ppl hate them cuz 1.they THINK that they are emo 2. they THINK they are gay 3. they dislike their style of music 4. they hate the mcr fans (mostly fangirls), not the band itself, but then they relate the fans to the band. 5. they THINK that mcr is a bunch of over rated posers. but the way i c it. they r missing out on a great band. and if they choose to let their negativity hold them back from good music, its not my problem, and not our job to fix.

They are not very good at what they do and are a fad. They will only be around for a couple more years and then will go back to their Dairy Queen jobs.
They look ill all the time and listening to their "music" usually has one of two effects...it either feels like someone is taking a dump in your ear or you begin to feel like you need to puke a little bit!

i think people just love to hate, and right now my chemical romance are being so bold with "the black parade" that they're an easy target.
and people think their fans are annoying.

I don't think they would be that bad, but they get too much exposure. Everytime you turn on the radio or tv, it is all about MCR. It is really easy to get burnt out on.

well i acually love them, but i have lots of friends who believe that they just copy off of marilyn manson, and are just a poser band..i guess they dont realize that they write what they feel and not just about sex and drugs like other bands...
