The beef tallow is used on the htere fires during the processing, it is used in the blanching before freezing, they cook them in most countries in non-hydrogenated canola or soyabean oils now, so they are trans fat free.
The beef tallow used is strictly for flavour and they have used it ever since they starts producing there own line of fries, here in Canada they also done that way for the 200 McDonalds in Canada.

McDOnalds french fries are dipped in sugar then its fried in oil. 3 negatives ( including salt). But they arejust so addictive.lol.I dont know about the beef situation. have a good day

Actually they USED to use beef tallow, now it is artificial beef flavoring.
