More than I can count still remain. Especially bad are my appendix scar from when I was 10, a large one from the removal of three large tumors and other surgery at the same time just a few years ago, and a a couple of other severe scars from surgery when I was 19. I also have a pitlike scar on my left forearm from the bite of a wolf spider when I was about 6-7 years old (hazy memory there).

I forgot about my left thumb. The upper left curve hasn't filled out yet from when I was working and accidentally cut it off with an Exacto knife while working on what is called a blueline.

The upper edge of my right ear has "cauliflower" scarring from a series of falls over the years.

I see people mention emotional scars. I have plenty of those. The worst is from when I was 19 and fell in love but was parted from him because his parents didn't want him marrying an American girl. I've never fallen in love again, and I've never forgotten him though he undoubtedly found someone else. Some people are meant to be alone I think. So, those people who marry a lot of time are making up for those who never do, right?

Not all wounds heal, and those that do leave scars that seem to last a lifetime. An old Prussian custom was the dueling scar, a mark of honour that a gentleman wore proudly. It's a bygone age and sometimes not a very proud history. I've come by most of my scars honestly and will not call them disfigurements. Each has a memory and was a lesson hard learned. I am a Junker after all.

One Big One -- right through my heart! Emotional scars carry a heavy burden with U awhile, but they will eventually heal.

Only three physical scars (if I remember correctly):

A split lip from a slap shot sent at point blank range via a hockey stick when I was goal tending during a hockey game with my older brothers & their high school friends. I was 8 y.o.

A circular cigarette lighter burn on my right hand that I received from my brother while we were sitting in a 1963 Lincoln Continental (I was 4 y.o. at the time).

A big gash on my leg, received from the stud of a cleat off a football shoe (the plastic part of the cleat unscrewed/fell off, so just the metal stud was there & tore me up pretty good). I was 16 y.o. & playing high school football at the time.

Wayy too many too count. My heart is broken and bruised, some peices have been taped back into place but I still feel the hurt, none of my wounds are actually really completely healed, but time will take care of it.

The big scar running down my neck from neck surgery. If you had to wear a halo for 3 months wouldn't you have a scar mentally from it as well? People make the rudest comments.

Emotional - 0, I don't hold grudges.

Physical - 2, both from when I was little. One on my middle finger is from when I fell on the driveway and another on my upper lip is from when I was running on a porch at Preschool and a door opened and I slammed my face right into it (no stitches needed though)

Not many at all....live and learn, and go on. I have carried many scars, but they have all faded execpt for one, but it will only be a matter of time before that one is gone too.
