Yes it is going too far... I smoke and yeah we dont smoke in pubs anymore, I havent got a problem with that, at all..
However a cigarette end will blow away, fall to pieces and after a while there will be nothing left of it. Why dont they fine £500 to **** heads who spit there chewing gum on to the streets, this does not go away AT ALL.... The councils spend fotunes cleaning that stuff up.

easy money i think. i dont smoke. its not a problem for me but i can see the council rubbing their hands with glee now. smokers have to smoke outside where there are few ashtays and theres the easy money. no tax collections, no bills just pounce on a smoker.the council cant chase the fly tipper dumping rubbish in the dark up an alley after the local tip refused him access as he lives 20 feet on the wrong side of the council boundary. but theres a smoker to nab in every doorway. yes its going too far just like everything else in this f*cked up country.

Someone has got to pay for the PC Police.

Our Council tried the same thing, until it was pointed out the used condoms on some of its streets posed a greater health hazzard.

hear hear! i live in lincolnshire as well and the local council knocked on my door and asked my opinion on the state of the streets. i said the biggest problem by far is dog mess, they said what about cigarette ends?! i told them i dont mind *** ends as they dont stick to my shoe and stink so much nor do they cause blindness! in grimsby, a couple got fined for not dropping the end, ???!!! the excuse was they was PROBABLY gonna! how bad is that? so before you've even dropped it your fined.

There are probably more smokers than litter bugs.

And you'll need to contact your political representative about the dog mess.

New York City now has a law that requires dog owners to 'scoop up' the mess that their dog makes.

Because now that smokers can't smoke anywhere, expect outside, and they have not supplied anywhere for them to put out their fags so they have no choice but to drop them. smokers are seen as early targets. It is easy money to line the pockets and pension funds of our wonderful Government!

Im also in Lincolnshire xx

what about the dirty people who spit in the street? what should they be fined?

this is an offence as it spreads disease - especially TB which is on the increase coming from the Indian sub-continent

it is now only people from this area of the world living in UK who have TB tests - but if the street spitters continue it will get into the indigenous population

yes but governments only get worse because they are always going into debt therefore creating laws that target the citizens pockets. SO UNCONSTITUTIONAL!
