maybe $8 but IDK about $10 unless you have been there a while. I would try Nordstrom, Macy's, JC Penny's , Saks or any other department/clothing store you know nearby.

Depends on where you live, most businesses pay at least $10 an hour for a cashier. I would try Home Depot, first. I had friends in college work there (6 years ago) and they made $11 an hour in VA.
Your better off at any department store, especially NOW since it's the holiday season! Good luck!

People receive higher pay for doing something other people can't do or other people don't want to do. If a high skilled job only pays $10 per hour, other people probably would rather do that than something else.

No offence, but what are you on, and how can I get some?
Last I heard, P/T at Safeway/Supervalue paid less than that.
In 99% of places - unless the store is unionised and part of a large chain - most cashier jobs pay little more than minimum wage.

Home Depot starts out at that rate... My sister started out there a few years back and now is making even better money...
Also, Apple pays well... I have a friend who works at the local apple store and started at 10 an hr...

I've had a lot of cashiering jobs, I liked working in a restaurant in a hotel best.

Try Sears. You usually only get paid around 7-8 an hour, but you get paid 2 dollars every time you get someone to apply for a credit card.

good luck....some companies pay better than others....but I've never heard of a starting rate of $10....well i guess it may depend on what your states minimum wage is as well.
