i downloaded a movie and want to make a vcd but the file is to big. its an avi file so how can i make it fit on the cd and still play on my dvd player???

Use more than one disc.

I would take the Mentors advice and get "convertxtodvd" Its so simple even I can do it. It can convert the largest of movies that will fit onto a normal dvd-r disc. 4.75 gb

Convert to DivX or Mpeg encoding:

You know you can buy DVD players cheap (like lg or rca) that will play all formats?

Do a google search. There are converters that will make the filesize smaller, but bear in mind that it may reduce quality.

look into a program called Popcorn. it shrinks files to fit as it burns...I think you may need to have TOAST though...not sure.
