There is unfinished business here from the mental anguish you experienced. You can't just get over something like that. You may need to seek out a counselor who can discuss the situation with you so you can work through this.

Hello Alicia M,...It seems your worried he may come back and cause anguish again in your life, and this isn't helping you move on,...We agree on one thing,it has to stop!!,No more!!,...I assume you are living in the same town as this relation, and your friends are there,...Can your friends or relations scare him off?,...Or do you move to another town with some friends or boyfriend?,...Remember this is your life, your soul, your body, your sexuality,...Nobody else owns it,live for the moment, the now,...hook up with that special soul, that gives that spark to your love and life,....Best wishes,Jemmy.

I had bad things done to me as a child by a brother and tried to ignore it. One day it nearly drove me to sucicide, then I finally got some help from doctors. I have accepted what has happened, but will never forget it. The mind can do strange things to you, so please get some help.

I'd suspect that the mental anguish is the unfinished business. You should seek help in dealing with it and move on with your life.
