I am 31 weeks and have gained 17lbs so far. Been averaging about a pound a week for the last two months or so. 30-35lbs is what an average person is supposed to shoot for during their pregnancy, underweight people should even put on a little more so it sounds like (depending on your build) your doing good!
Congrats!!

I am normally 115 - 120. I got up to 150 during both of my pregnancies. Maybe a little less the second one. I was 24 for my first and 26 for my second, and lost the weight in about 6-9 months. Does that help?

Nursing does wonders, so does taking care of a baby all the time. :)

I gained 18 pounds with my pregancy, but I had morining sickness the whole pregnancy. Since your norm. is 25-35 and you've only gained 30, you are in the norm. I don't think the weight is hard to lose after birth as long as you keep busy. That means no sitting around. Doctor's also say if you breast feed, you lose weight quicker. The only down side will be a sore chest, but there's easy remedies for that!

Good Luck! Being a mother is life's greatest reward :)

Before I had my son I was 115lbs. During my pregnancy I got up to 180lbs. I walked 2 miles almost everyday. But I believe my problem was that I ate to much. I ate alot pasta, bread and sugary stuff. Since then I have stayed between 140-130lbs. My metabolism definitely did change. I also think it may depend on your genes. My mother and sisters have had this similar problem.
If you are going to stay at home with the baby just be sure to exercise and not eat alot of fatty high calorie foods. I like using my 10lbs hand weights for tone every other day. I walk alternating with jogging to keep my heart rate up for 30 minutes 4 days a week and do lunges on the days I jog.

I'm 34 weeks, have put on 25. But like you it's all just belly. I plan to breast feed and read that it burns anywhere from 500 to 1,000 calories a day. I'm quite confident that it will be easy for me to get the baby weight off plus a few extra pounds if I watch what I eat and get back on my regular excersize routine.

You've let yourself put on too much weight too soon and it can be difficult to take off. At the end, most of the weight goes directly to the baby. Don't diet, but don't overindulge yourself--very easy to do when pregnant. Also get out walking, or some other mild exercise.

my first baby I was only 95 to 100 lb before pregnancy and the total weight gain was over 65 lbs and that weight spread everywhere.....I felt like a cow......maybe that's why she weighed 8 lb 5 1/2 oz.

but with each baby after the first the weight gain wasn't so dramatic and the most weight was maybe 40 lbs.

good luck!!
