I heard yesterday that he might be an illegal alien, but someone said he was an American citizen. Now Last I read, he was released to the custody of his parents. So does this mean that if you are underage in your state, you can get away with something like this if you say you are sorry? What is happening with all of the people who lost everything ot the fires? How do they feel about it all?

IF he is a US citizen I hope the people who lost everything sue the kid and his parents. If he is illegal he never should have been released as we will never see him again.

He is a 10 yr old and was released to his parents. But the DA is still deciding what if anything he will be charged with. He is a child who played with matches and ended up causing a horrendous fire. He only started one fire and they are still looking for the causes of the others.

I feel sorry for all of the people who died or lost everything in the fire. Even if they prosecute or not, is this kid still liable for all the damages? Will this all be covered by insurance, since it was arson and not an act of nature?

Legal or not he is just a child, so hopefully they show some mercy on him. I do feel sorry for the people who lost their homes, but I'm sure the boy and his parents feel horrible. It was a tragic accident, it seems.

i dont believe he was illegal. he was just released until trial just like if u got arested u could post bail.
