I just recently started watching ATWT again after having not seen it for a few years and just learned that the character of Hal died. I know he committed suicide in real life but how was his character killed on the show? Thanks !!

he was out of town and some how got involved in a shoting.
Its very shocking and tragic what happened to him in real life!

According to the show, Hal was out of town working on a case, and was shot during a robbery.
