Possibly going into properties and chaning the screen resolution? This is a 60 hrtz screen, I don't know what the other was....
Just everything is so big i want it back to somewhat normal appearance

You need to set the desktop resolution to a widescreen mode. I would strongly recommend that you use the native resolution of the monitor, this should be in the user manual.

If your system does not support widescreen modes then upgrade the video drivers for your system.

Being wider now, you have to change the resolution to something that was wider before. If you would have told us the size of the mointor your bought we could have helped.

For my 22" widescreen the sweet spot is 1680 X 1050. If yours is a 19" it well be smaller then that.

its not the 60mz, thats just the refresh rate on the screen. Most LCD's you can't change that much anyways so don't worry about that.

Increase your resolution - right click on your desktop (if your using windows) go to properties, settings, and move the screen resolution slider to the right to increase the resolution. If you can move it any more t the right then your computer doesnt support higher resolutions, so youll have to either get a new computer or buy a video card capable of achieving higher resolutions.
