I wouldn't go back there because more than likely you are going to have to deal with her again. Find another place and give it some time. Try to go back after a few months, she will probably be gone with that attitude.

I was a manager at a McDonald's and one of the policies in taking a customer's money is to lay the dollar bill(s) across the drawer for just such a situation. That way the cashier will be able to quickly show you what you handed to her. Also they are required to put all bills that are twenty dollars and up under the drawer. If you ever have another incident like this ask the manager on duty to count down the drawer. This will automatically show the difference in the drawer against the receipts for her teal. If it showed that the drawer was ten dollars over, voila there is your proof to the manager and to the cashier that you gave her $21.00. I hope this helps.

My second job is with Burger King and we have to put all 20s in a deposit box next to each drawer. We aren't even allowed to have one $20 bill in our drawers but I don't know about mcDs or if she was putting it in there I would call the customer complaint number. I had something similar happen to me at my fave clothing store. I used to buy all my clothes there and last xmas I wanted to get this sweater for my sister and it had a 40% off tag on it. I went to pay for it and the cashier charged me full price even though I told her I got it off the same rack that had several of the SAME sweater on it that all said 40% off. She just said someone must have mistagged them and refused to give me the discount. I ended up not buying anything at all and sent an email to their customer service. But now I won't go back because she acted like I had put the tags on the sweater myself and tried to rip them off. She didn't even come out from behind the counter to go check the other sweaters I was talking about that had the same tag! Now I am mad all over again lol.

I work for Mc Donald's and it is one of their policies that 20 dollar bills or higher be put underneath the tray...It helps keep people from making mistakes. She might b dishonest and was going to try to keep the $10 for herself. They have cameras pointing directly to the tills so she would have been caught anyway. I would bypass the managers and call or go in and ask for the store manager and explain what happened. Tell them that you will not come back if she is still working and that you will contact the owner. The owner/operator's number should be posted somewhere inside the store.

I would still go back and try to get a different cashier or go to the drive through. She probably won't last long at McD's if she is not good to the customers. Don't let her problem change your behavior.

Don't let her prevent from going there. In fact, next time she waits on you, make a point of telling her out loud what amount of money your'e giving her. Even show the next person in line, explain if you need to. Do it. The criminal needs to be reminded over and over again..........

Call McDonalds corporate and explain your years of dedicated patronage. They will contact the franchise owner who will likely take swift action.

i would go back to the mcd's and speak to the manager, it almost sounds like the cashier may have been stealing.

You could go to a different one, but honestly, don't worry about it. What's the big deal?
