(3/4) = (1-3x) - 2/(x+1)
multiply the entire equation by (x+1)
3/4x + 3/4 = (1 + x - 3x -3x^2) - 2
combine common factors.
0 = -1/4 - 5/4x -3x^2
get rid of the negative, and multiply by 4 to make it easier to look at
0 = 1 + 5x + 12x^2
now its simplified but i dont feel like going on since i dont even know if the equation i'm working with is the same as the equation that you have because of the way you wrote it out

Do you mean 3/4 = (1 - 3x - 2) / (x + 1), or 3/4 = 1 - 3x - ( 2 / (x+1)), or something else?
In any case, start by multiplying both sides by the denominator you have. This clears away the fraction.

3 / 4 = a million - ((3x - 2) / (x + a million)) carry a million to the different component making it unfavorable. -a million /4 = - ((3x - 2) / (x + a million)) a million /4 = ((3x - 2) / (x + a million)) Now use pass multiplication a million * (x + a million) = 4 * (3x - 2) x + a million = 12x - 8 9 = 11x x = 9/eleven

3/4 = 1 -(3x+2)/(x+1)
-1/4 = -(3x+2)/(x+1)
x+1 = 4(3x+2)
x+1 = 12x + 8
-11x = 7
x = -7/11

Ans. 3/4= (1-3x -2)/ (x+1).
3/4 (x+1)= 1-3x -2. 3/4(x )+3x = -1 - 3/4.
(3x+12x)/4= - 7/4
15x= -7 , x= -7/15..

I believe that x =negative 7 over 15.
in decimal form, x = -0.467
It's going to take me some time to tell you how though since word processing docs don't let me easily demonstrate the steps. Can I fax a wriiten page to you somehow?
